There is a meadow opposite our house that Jeremy (a Music Teacher) was given by his uncle when most of Quaker Farm was sold off and he keeps it just for hay and to give him chance to pootle about on his many tractors! This year both boys but especially Matthew have become good friends with Jeremy and whenever he can he lets them drive the tractor. They helped with turning the hay and then making the bales. Matthew's already asked to help next year!

10 days to go.......
Joe is due to have his tonsils and adenoids removed on Thursday 11th August....10 days and counting......
Hopefully this will then end our dreadful year, he will sound less like a steam train when he breathes (day & night) and will stop with the not-breathing when he sleeps!
The boys stayed with Gran last week and she found it very odd - Joe's snoring didn't wake her but she did wake when he stopped breathing!

Bug Hunt at West Stow
Jigsaw children's centre organise a bug hunt every year. Last year it was raining, lots, and Matthew was on his hols. Joe and I went and got wet but thought as the sun was out this year and Matthew was home we would go again. It was very busy and we didn't enjoy it as much as when there were as many of the centre staff as there were families, but a good time was had anyway.

Hunting for Geocaches
Geocaching has become a favourite activity for Joe and me, Matthew isn't so keen but we have to sit through endless games of his football so it's only fair really!
We set off to find a couple we'd not found before in Thurston. One we found, another we didn't, so a standard day for us really!
Next day we went back to one we've been to before because it makes it more fun for Joe if there's guaranteed treasure at the end, plus it's a good spot for blackberry picking! We took Milo the neighbour's dog out for a walk which kept Matthew a little bit happier!
